Registration for press

The Congress is open to bona fide, working journalists, representing print and electronic media. Registration is free of charge to such journalists who are in possession of a valid, recognised press card. Freelance journalists must present a commissioning letter on headed paper from a recognised news organisation or publication.

Media Policy

The European Cancer Congress welcomes the interest of the press in cancer issues and is happy to provide assistance to journalists attending the Congress or using the Congress website as a resource in their coverage of cancer issues.

Third party media policy

This policy applies to all activities organised for the news media during or in connection with the European Cancer Congress by third parties. It aims to ensure that information distributed to journalists concerning the meeting and research presented at it is accurate and is issued at the correct times, complying with any embargoes that may be in place.

Media alert for Europe’s premier cancer congress

The 18th ECCO – 40th ESMO European Cancer Congress will take place at the Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Centre, Vienna, Austria, from Friday 25 to Tuesday 29 September 2015. Registration for bona fide journalists is free.

The majority of the Congress abstracts will be published online at 10.00 hrs CEST on Friday 11 September and can be reported from this time.
