INTRODUCTION

Welcome to a fresh new edition of the European Cancer Congress

The 18th ECCO – 40th ESMO European Cancer Congress (ECC2015) is the largest event this year to present new data and ground-breaking information to oncology professionals.  This first issue of the Congress newsletter is proud to introduce several other remarkable “firsts”!
For the first time, the Scientific Committee has designed an entire integrated track with sessions exploring vital synergies across tumour types and disciplines in order to take leaps of progress in overlapping areas of research.
For the first time, the scientific programme includes multidisciplinary case-sessions that mimic tumour board sessions and focus on particularly challenging cases, delivering unique practical insights to delegates.
For the first time, the programme foresees dedicated time for networking and special sessions on key policy issues and mentorship opportunities. These slots are conveniently set in the middle of the day, without conflict with scientific sessions, making it easier than ever for Congress delegates to make contacts, build key professional relationships and explore emerging areas in oncology.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

Get your abstracts ready for submission

ECC2015 is one of the largest events where you can present data to specialists working in the field of oncology. Scientific journals will be expectant for any relevant and ground-breaking presented abstracts, thereby ensuring broad worldwide media coverage. This Congress provides a great platform for reaching maximum exposure of your work within the oncology community.
All abstracts submitted will be subjected to a panel review by experts in the corresponding field and will be judged by the quality of the data submitted. Also, it is the exclusive decision of the Scientific Committee to decide how this data will be presented (i.e. oral presentation, poster, etc.).
Abstract submission is open from 26 January until 28 April.
